Willie Joe Jones, age 81, of Crossett passed away on October 10, 2017 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR.  He was born on April 22, 1936 in Laran, LA to his late parents, Royal S. Jones and Chlorene Callaway Jones.  Mr. Jones was retired from G. P. Tissue Mill in converting  and a member of West Crossett Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Jones in 2008,  a great grandson , Hunter Jones and a sister, Florence Bowden.

Survivors include two sons, Philip Jones (Lou Ann) and William Jones, both of Crossett, AR;  two brothers, Leroy and R. S. Jones,  one sister, Christelle Rickets, all of  Crossett, AR.  Three grandchildren, Brandon (Allison) Jones, Candace (Blake) Pierce and Wyatt (Natalie) Jones; and eight great grandchildren, Taylor, Tori, Ally Kate, Judah, Hannah, Jace, Alizah and Landon and special friend, Roxie Skiffen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at North Crossett First Baptist Church with Bro. Robin Allen and Bro. Harold Cantley  officiating.  Interment will follow at Bird’s Chapel Cemetery in Truxno, LA under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR . (www.jonesservice.com)
