Leroy was in my graduation class at Fountain Hill in 1947. I am so sorry he has passed away. He and Marion were so gracious to our class when we had our 50 Year Class Reunion. I pray all the family will find peace and comfort in the days to come!

I would like to offer my sympathy to all of the Deckelman family in the passing of Leroy from this life. I had become friends with Leroy one summer when his dad got me, Leroy and Macil Baker a job working for the corps of enginers in Memphis. We enjoyed that experence of seeing the big city of Memphis. I was already in the USAF when Leroy inlisted. I visited with him at Lackland Air Base in San Antonio, Texas. God bless all of you and give you his grace. W.F. "Rick" Etheridge

Leroy served as our contact at GP for many years. We couldn't have asked for anyone finer. He was always of good spirit and very even-handed. I was saddened to read of his passing and contacted another retired employee of AVA to share the news. I have only the best memories of him. Those of you in Leroy's family will be in my prayers.
