I first met Robert at Central Baptist College in the fall of 1964. Robert and I communicated almost every day since reconnecting in 2005. Robert touched the lives of many people during his lifespan. His departing into glory will leave an empty spot in our lives. "Butch" was respectful, kind, and loving human being who made others better than they would have been if they had not brushed shoulders with him. In the photo section there is a 1968 graduation photo of Robert standing with a friend.

What can I say? Butch and I were roommates at CBC and shared many, many memories. He was a good friend and helped preach my Dad's funeral many years ago. He and I traveled many miles together as he preached and I sang for him. God bless those pleasant memories. After we moved to Crossett in 1987, we shared several days "a-fishing" and reminiscing! So sad to hear of this. I'm reminded of Paul's admonition to Timothy in II Tim. 4:19-23..."come before winter". We all need to remember to visit folks and comfort them before the time comes when we can't any more. I loved you, Butch...you were a great friend to me.
