Ricky Allen McDaniel, age 52, of Hamburg took his heavenly flight home on July 3, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. Ricky was born May 18, 1964 to Billy (Beady) McDaniel and Patsy Simpson. 

Ricky was an avid Star Wars fan. Anything regarding space brought him joy. He loved to draw, paint, and color intricate spaceships, and he loved giving his art work to friends and family as gifts. Ricky enjoyed giving to others, even if the gift was something as simple as a key chain, he was happy to give and share his things. 

Ricky was a Christian and was raised to love the Lord by Mama Faye and Uncle Buck. His family was very special to him, and he always enjoyed getting to come home on holidays and special occasions to spend time with them. Even though Ricky was unable to be as close to his brothers, mother, and daughter as he would have liked, he always spoke of his pride and love for them. He was a proud grandfather, as well.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Billy McDaniel, paternal grandparents, Warren and Ester McDaniel, maternal grandparents, Dooley and Loene Johnson, and his guardian angel, Mama Faye Johnson.

He is survived by  his Uncle Buck who raised Ricky as his own, his "rock," Aunt Susie Bolin, a daughter, Melinda Wallice, two grandchildren, his mother, Patsy Simpson, six siblings, Donnie, Ron, and Tim Simpson, Mike Herrington, Linda Rushing, and a loving caregiver and sister, Kaye Alonzo. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR.  (www.jonesservice.com)
