To the family of John H. Robertson: I send my deepest sympathy to all of you! "Grit" was my classmate and my co-worker in the Accounting Dept. at AD&N Railway prior to my moving to Houma, La. in 1958. I remember how he would say on a Friday afternoon "I am going to hurry and cut my grass so I can go to the River tomorrow!" I enjoyed class reunions with Polly & Grit through our 60th Reunion when Grit said "Polly is the love of my life"- They were both loved by all of us I. cherish their memory and I trust they are having a great reunion in Heaven now...along with my beloved husband, Cliff Wilson, who passed away in 2014.. May our Lord comfort you at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Jewerline Sedberry29 Wilson

Toney,

I'm sorry I've never met you but I sure heard a lot about you from your mother and dad.

Polly was a close friend through out high school and remained so for life. Grit was also a dear friend. He lived catty cornered across the back alley from me as did Lloyd Blanchard. The three of us would sit on top of our fence and talk and sometimes fuss. In later life I attended all of the reunions our class had starting in 1964. After my husband Billy "Dink" Lloyd died and his sister, Nell Pruett moved from Crossett Polly and Grit always invited me to stay with them. Whenever I visited Crossett, I would always go by the business for a short visit. I loved them both. My prayers for you and family are that you may be comforted in knowing that God's love for us is always available to help thru our losses and griefs.

Toney, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. I do still think of you often and remember the times we went to the house boat with your parents.
