Calvin Fletcher, age 88, of Crossett, AR passed away on August 16, 2015 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care Center.  He was born on March 4, 1927 in the Mill Creek Township of Ashley County, AR to his parents, Ed and Annie Pleger Fletcher.  Mr. Fletcher was a WWII Army Veteran and a maintenance worker for Chase Bag.  He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church.  Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nell Patterson Fletcher and several brothers and sisters, Everette, Iona, Marie, Howard, John, Cecil, Hunter and two nephews, Eddie Dean Fletcher and Johnny Patterson.

Survivors include one sister, Irene Childress of Minden, LA and several nieces and nephews, Nancy Melton, Scotty Fletcher, Clydene Garner, Elaine Rice, Mary Ann Lawson, Johnny Mac Fletcher, Glen Fletcher, Robert Fletcher, Judy Johnson, Barbara Gilbert and Greg Sivils. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Meridian Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin McDaniel officiating.  Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR.  (www.jonesservice.com)
