Lois Erlene Taunton, age 92, of Crossett, AR passed away on February 20, 2015 at Stonegate Villa Health & Rehab. She was born on November 17, 1922 in Bonita, LA to her late parents, Henry E. and Eva Jane Meeks Gates. Mrs. Taunton was a retired bookkeeper from the Sterling Store. She loved to travel and share time with her family and friends. Mrs. Taunton was an avid quilter and handmade one for each of her children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. She was a member of the First Church of God. Mrs. Taunton was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Riley A. Taunton.

Survivors include two sons, Robert A. Taunton of Huttig, AR, Donny Taunton of Crossett, AR; two daughters, Erlene Swan (Jerry) of Crossett, AR, Anita Liles of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Jean Townsend; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the First Church of God with Bro. Randy Ivy officiating. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the First Church of God, 1501 Main Street, Crossett, AR.
