Willie Jo Phillips Bond, age 78, of Crossett, AR, passed away on September 10, 2020. She was born on July 4, 1942 in Hamburg, AR, to her parents, Thomas J. Phillips and Mattie Jo Kelley. Willie Jo spent her life as a homemaker for her family. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, talking on the phone, and watching Hallmark movies.
Willie Jo is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Frank Bond; two infant brothers, Thomas Jefferson Phillips and Thad Douglas Phillips.
She is survived by one sister, Gwen “Georgia” Pennington of Junction City, AR. Four nephews, Jeffrey Pennington (Vicki), Tommy Pennington (Delilah) of Hope Hull, AL, James Pennington (Kerry Jo) of El Dorado, AR and Stephen Pennington of Junction City, AR; one niece, Jeanette Ramirez of Hamburg, AR (Robert); six great nephews, Justin Pennington, Rayvan Ramirez, Roman Ramirez, Bobby Ramirez, William Beck, and Cole Hannigan; four great nieces, Haleigh Pennington, Tiffany Dison, Madilyn Ramirez, and Preslee Pennington; ten great-great nephews and nieces; Hunter Pennington, Emmaline Pennington, Ava Ramirez, Carter Murphy, Ella Orrell, William Mondragon, Mia Mondragon, Ryker Ramirez, Everly Ramirez, and Noel James Dison who is due in November; one step-great grandson, Alex Newberry; her fur-baby; “Bullzier” and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services are 2:00pm on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at West Crossett Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Sexton officiating. Interment is in Zion Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Pallbearers are Justin Pennington, Rayvan Ramirez, Roman Ramirez, Bobby Ramirez, Justin Dison, Chuck Kinnard, and Andy Kinnard. Honorary pallbearers are Jeffrey Pennington, Tommy Pennington, James Pennington, Stephen Pennington, and Robert Ramirez.
Visitation will begin at 1:00pm, one hour prior to the funeral service at WCMBC.
