William “Bill” Reid Phillips, age 90, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on June 21, 2022. He was born on April 14, 1932, in Fountain Hill, Arkansas, to Robert Ray Phillips and Ora Hester. Bill was a banker and loan officer at First National Bank in Crossett, and received his Bachelor’s degree from Arkansas A&M in Monticello, Arkansas. Bill was a deacon and former treasurer at First Baptist Church in Crossett. He was also on the board of directors for the Ashley County Skilled Workshop and Crossett Housing Authority.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joann Deal Phillips; a brother, Millard Phillips; and a sister, Elsa Casson.
He is survived by his son, Terry Phillips (Jennifer) of Springdale, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Holland Belline of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Neal Phillips of Springdale, Arkansas and Erin Terry (Dennis) of Cave Springs, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Jack and Brax Terry, both of Cave Springs; two siblings, Gladys Lane of Lubbock, Texas and James Phillips (Maxine) of Houston, Texas; one sister in law, Jean Kilcrease of Crossett, Arkansas, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 10:30 A.M. on June 24, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Crossett with Dr. Jamie Staley officiating. Interment in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will begin at the church just before the service at 9:00 A.M.\
