Teddy Erwin Huff, age 82 and lifelong resident of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021. He was born on July 5, 1938 to Hazel Zastrow and Glee Ebert Huff. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church on the Berlin Road.
He graduated from Crossett High school in 1956 where he played first chair in the high school band. He was a very talented clarinet and harmonica player. He also served in the Arkansas National Guard. Teddy retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation in the year 2000 and spent his retirement years visiting his children and grandchildren. He loved them all dearly. He was also an avid and creative gardener, planting flowers, shrubs and vegetables. He loved fishing and spent time doing that with his childhood friend, Deryl Courtney and his son, Charles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Glee Huff; three brothers, Glee Huff, Deryl Huff and Leslie ‘Buddy’ Huff and one sister, Patricia Huff Burnett.
He is survived by one son, Charles Huff of Alexander, AR; one daughter, Annette Huff Williams of Bogalusa, LA; three grandchildren, Kaleigh Stephenson and husband, John Eric, Tarrah Willis and husband, Bruce and Hannah Huff; one sister, Mary Burt and husband, Skip; seven great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Jones Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00PM on Friday, April 16, 2021 with one hour of visitation from 11:00AM just before the service with Pastor Danny Merriweather officiating. Interment is in Lakewood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jerry Laing, Chuck Nutter, Todd McDonald, Clay Lofton, Bradey Lofton, Gus Lofton, Justin Burt and Bill Huff.
