Shirley Smith Obituary
Shirley Minnearl Smith, age 90, a lifelong resident of Crossett, AR, was called into eternity on March 7, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1932 to Wesley Adam Smith and Deora Fairchild Smith.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in North Crossett. She enjoyed being a part of her Sunday School Class and taking trips with the members to various places. She was an accountant and prepared taxes for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Minnie Pearl; three brothers, Cecil, W.D. and Willard Smith; three nephews, W.M., Ronnie and Eddy Dean; four nieces, Mary Katherine Simpson, Pat Byrnside, Cathey Kelley and Bettye Hansche.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her niece by marriage and final caregiver, Grace Smith of Benton, AR; eight great-nephews, Wesley Smith, Gerald Smith, Stephen Smith, Wade Hansche, Douglas Hansche, Steven Brittain, Keith Burnside and Christopher Burnside; nine great-nieces, Alisa Grisham, Pam Cunningham, Debbie Blackwood, Erin Smith, Tammy Frost, Dana Byrnside, Sherrie Magness, Stephanie Smith and Tracie Smith and several Fairchild cousins and church friends, especially Nadine Brown and Charlotte Lane.
A special thanks to the staff of Pleasant Hill Adult Care Services of Bryant, AR who made the last months of her life enjoyable. Thanks to the Hospice Home Care of Little Rock that gave her comfort in the final hours. Thanks to Pastor Doug Hibbard of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for officiating.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Interment is in Flat Creek Cemetery in Fountain Hill, AR under the direction of Jones Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., one hour prior to the service.
