Rose Marie Farrar Holloway of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on May 13, 2022. She was born April 9, 1933, in Lillie, Louisiana, to Ina and Odos Farrar. She attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where she received a degree in Nursing. She married Richard Holloway of Hamburg, Arkansas, in October 1956. They had three children, Karen (Webb), David, and John.
She enjoyed her long career as a public health nurse. She loved gardening, traveling with friends, music, and playing games such as bridge, dominos, and Liverpool rummy. She was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed passing that love on to her children and grandchildren. Most of all, she loved her family.
In her later years, as her health declined, her son, David, and his wife, Erin, had the honor of caring for her in their home. There she became close to her caretaker and friend, Tawanda, and enjoyed the time she spent with Erin’s mother, Grams. After David passed in the summer of 2021, Erin continued to take great care of her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Homer Farrar; her husband and their three children.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Erin Holloway of Little Rock, Arkansas; son-in-law, Mike Webb (Stacy) of Crossett, Arkansas; her grandchildren; John Michael Webb (Samantha) of Crossett, Arkansas, Katie Marie Webb of Conway, Arkansas, James Hunter Holloway of Denver, Colorado, Richard Weston Holloway (Lindsey) of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Emma Grace Holloway of Little Rock, Arkansas. She also had the pleasure of getting to know her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Pryor, Miles, Rex, and Rose.
A graveside service will be held at Pinewood Memorial Park at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 with Rev. Matt Daniels officiating.
