Robert L. “Bobby” White, age 87, passed away on June 21, 2022 at his home in Crossett, AR. He was born on April 28, 1935 in Warren, AR to his parents Prentiss and Faloah Jolley White. Bobby was a dedicated Christian, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a diehard Arkansas Razorbacks fan.
Bobby was well known for his master gardening skills and had many admirers of the impressive garden he grew year after year. He could be seen sitting in his swing watching his garden grow just about any day during gardening season. It gave him much pleasure to share fresh garden vegetables with family and friends.
When Bobby wasn’t at home or in his garden, you could probably find him in the woods or on the water. Many of his closest friendships were formed while hunting or fishing together. He took great pride in sharing his love for the outdoors with his son, Jerry, and again with his grandson, Cade.
Bobby was a member and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Crossett. He was a living testament that hard work and strong Christian and family values produce a happy and meaningful life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his father, Prentiss White; his mother, Faloah Jolley White; his sister, Ann White Adams; his brothers, Henry “Shorty” White, John White, and Richard “Buddy” White.
Survivors include one son, Jerry White and wife, Angie, of Hot Springs, AR; one daughter, Kala Whitehead and husband, Randy, of Hot Springs, AR; one brother, Donald Ed White of Hampton, AR; two sisters, Sherry White of Warren, AR and Susie White of Hamburg, AR; and three grandchildren, Cade Freeland of Jacksonville, AR, Kensi Freeland of Alexander, AR, and Maegan Whitehead of Little Rock, AR.
