Pauline V Johnson

Pauline Virginia Johnson, age 90 of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on January 20, 2023.  She was born on January 14, 1933 to Charlie Stanley and Bessie Mae Pennington in Columbus, Mississippi.

Pauline loved camping and working in the garden with her flowers.  She also loved to travel and spend time with family.  Pauline was a member of Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church in Crossett.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 44 years, C. J. Rushing; her second husband, John C. Johnson; one daughter, Bessie Arleane Brantley; eleven siblings, Lincoln Stanley, Dorothy Smith, Helen Barrett, Sue Cross, James Stanley, Roland Stanley, Wayne Wright Stanley and Joyce Wilcox.

Pauline is survived by three children, Charles Johnny Rushing of Calhoun, Louisiana, Beverly June Chadwick (Dennis) of Crossett, Arkansas, and Danny Lee Rushing of Crossett, Arkansas; three siblings, Lowell Stanley, Kenneth Stanley, and Herman Stanley; four grandchildren, Joey Mills Jr., Brandy Jean Wilcox, Sundee Fay Rushing, Jonathan James Rushing and Nelson Rushing; fifteen great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Pauline are 3pm, Saturday, January 22, at Pine Forest Missionary Baptist Church in Crossett, Arkansas with Bro. Willie Thornhill and Tim Haas officiating.

Interment is in Simms Cemetery in Crossett under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.  Pallbearers are Jonathan Rushing, Darren Stanley, Eric Sanssing, Lane Guthrie, Gordon Wilcox and Steven Cross.

Visitation begins one hour prior at 2pm.
