Patsy Miles Darling of Crossett, Arkansas was born May 28, 1934 in Fordyce, Arkansas and died August 11, 2020. She graduated from Fordyce High School in 1952 and moved to Crossett in 1965.
She was a past president of the South Ashley Unit of the American Cancer Society, Sunday School teacher for many years at Fordyce First Baptist Church and at Crossett First Baptist Church, Women’s Missionary Union Director, Baptist Women President, former member of Arkansas WMU Executive Board, clerk for Ashley County Baptist Association for 8 years, member of the League of Women Voters and a longtime member of Crossett First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two granddaughters, Megan Williams Jantz (Victor) of Reeds Spring, Missouri and Bethany Williams of Anchorage, Alaska, two sisters, Wanda Bell of Fairhope, Alabama, and Daisy Lamb of Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband O.H. (Doogie) Darling of Crossett, her son, Edward Collins Darling of Bellingham, Washington and her daughter Linda Elizabeth Darling Williams of Crossett, her parents Otis and Madie Miles of Fordyce, one brother Bill Miles of Fordyce, two sisters, Jennie Hearnsberger of Fordyce and Myra Easterling of Monroe, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 16, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Crossett from 3:00PM until 5:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Darling Scholarship Fund at First Baptist Church, 701 Main Street, Crossett, Arkansas 71635.
