Otis Paul Malloy

Otis Paul Malloy, age 91, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on February 1, 2023.  He was born on March 2, 1931 to Otto and Pauline Malloy in Texarkana, Arkansas.  He served his country in the United States Air Force as a jet mechanic. 

On February 13, 1954, he married the love of his life, Helen.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in North Crossett and retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Operations.  Not only did Otis love hunting, fishing, photography, gardening and flying his own airplane, but he was also an avid Aladdin Lamp collector.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Ruffin and her husband, Ray.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Helen Malloy of Crossett, AR; four children, Paula Phillips of Crossett, AR, Mark Malloy of Dallas, TX, Dana Giroux and husband, Dan of Jacksonville, FL and Linda Sims of Hamburg, AR; four grandchildren, Meredith Downs and husband, Jeremy of Olive Branch, MS, Samantha Sims of Orlando, FL, Shawn Fulgham of Harrell, AR and Robert Paul Phillips of Austin, TX; three great grandchildren, Brandon Fulgham of Ruston, LA, Morgan Fulgham of Hamburg, AR and Taylor Downs of Olive Branch, MS; one sister, Patsy Underwood and husband, Gene of Anderson, SC along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at North Crossett First Baptist Church on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Robin Allen and Bro. Garrett Fox officiating.  Interment is in Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Jeremy Downs, Gardner Smith, Jay Sims, Neil Honeck, Shawn Guin and Ray Toler.  Honorary Pallbearer is John Frank Johnston.

Visitation will begin one hour prior, at 1:00 P.M.
