Michael R. Barnett

Michael R. Barnett, age 71, of Crossett, AR, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.  Mike was born on June 5, 1948 in Monticello, AR to Johnie Roy and Mary Elna Grubbs Barnett. 

He was a retired supervisor for Georgia Pacific where he was employed there for thirty seven years and enjoyed working with his crew.  Mike enjoyed hunting, bass fishing and was known for his joking and picking nature.   He loved his family, making sure that they were well taken care of.

 

Michael is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Pennington Barnett; one son, Barry Barnett of Crossett, AR; two brothers, Douglas Grubbs (Mary Frances) of Crossett, AR and Patrick Barnett of Monticello, AR along with many friends and loved ones.

 

Funeral service is 10:00AM on Saturday,  August 24, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Griffith officiating.  Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Crossett, AR under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.  Visitation is from 5:00 until 7:00PM on Friday, August 23, 2019 in the chapel.
