Mary Ellen Pinkston

Mary Ellen (Reaves) Pinkston, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on April 9, 2022 at Stonegate Nursing and Rehabilitation in Crossett.

She was born on March 19, 1933 in Warren, Arkansas to Preston and Elsie Reaves.

Mary Ellen graduated from Warren High School and Arkansas A&M College and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Warren.

In 1954 she married W.T. Pinkston and moved to Crossett where she taught for 33 years in the Crossett School System.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.T. Pinkston and sister, Julia Garison.

Mary Ellen is survived by her son, William “Marty” Pinkston and wife, Celeste of Crossett and one granddaughter, Haley Pinkston of Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Ben Walsh and to the staff at Stonegate for their compassion and care for Mary Ellen where she resided for the last nine years.

Graveside services will be held in Oakland Cemetery in Warren, Arkansas at 2:00PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. with James Buddy Dean officiating.
