Obituary
Marilyn Rose Barnes, age 80, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on January 21, 2023. She was born on March 4, 1942 in Crossett to Dale Bussell and Mary Quemy. Marilyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Crossett. She loved her Sunday School class. Marilyn loved to travel, especially the Western states, including Gulf Shores, Alabama. She enjoyed decorating her home and doing yard work.
She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of thirty eight years, David Barnes; one daughter, Caryn Owens (Ron) of El Dorado, Arkansas; one son, Dave Barnes (Donna) of Melbourne, Florida; three grandchildren, Carson Owens, Derek and Danielle Barnes, and a special cousin.
Services for Marilyn are 10:30am on Wednesday, January 25, at Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett, Arkansas, with Bro. Jamie Staley officiating.
Interment will be at Pinewood Memorial Park under direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Pallbearers are Roger Nutt, Frankie Tanksley, Rick Owens, Maribeth Vuarez, and Ben Vuarez.
Visitation will begin at 9:30am, one hour prior.
