Luther William Cox, age 87 of Crossett, AR, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020. He was born on March 20, 1933 in Milo, AR to James E. and Hazel Willis Cox. He grew up in Crossett at 108 Beech St. He was an avid reader for all of his teen years and utilized the Crossett Library constantly. He made a career in the United States Air Force and retired from the F.A.A. and the U.S. Department of Transportation. He is one of Crossett’s successful prodigies.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Wesley Jean Johnston; his daughter, Leslie Jean Billings and one brother, Troy Lee Cox.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jamie P. Cox; two grandchildren, Christopher Billings of Alexander, AR and Jeanie Billings of Sheridan, AR and two great granddaughters.
Private graveside services were held at 6:00pm on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Pinewood Memorial Park in Crossett with Bro. Andy Connard officiating and under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.
