Loyd Fletcher Obituary

Loyd Don Fletcher was born in Monroe, LA on December 6, 1940, to Loyd Chesley Fletcher and Mary Elizabeth Bolin. He passed away at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND on October 26, 2020. 

After graduation, Don joined the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. He spent many years working throughout the United States and stayed in many beautiful places. He loved his job and the people he met throughout his career. 

After retirement, Don and Carrie moved back to Arkansas to be closer to Don’s parents. He enjoyed working in his yard, growing a garden every spring, fishing, and visiting with the guys.

He is survived by his wife Carrie who resides in Center, ND, a son Donald (Susan) Fletcher of Spring City, TN, two daughters Dana (Aaron) Genger of Mesa, AZ, and Misty (Jeff) Smith of Graham, TX. He is also survived by his younger brother Marion Richard (Carol) Fletcher of Crystal Springs, FL. A stepson Ryan Wells of Bastrop, LA, and a stepdaughter Tanya (Scott) Keith of Center, ND. 

He is also survived by his granddaughters Ava, Nina, and Ellie Mae Fletcher, Montana Genger, and Kari Ann and Kayla Hammons. Grandsons Clayton Genger, Carter and Connor Smith, Tyler Bowen, and Mel and Ethan Hammons. And his nephews Shane and Sean Fletcher. 

Loyd is preceded in death by his parents Loyd and Mary Fletcher and his brother Larry Fletcher. 

Graveside Masonic Services are 10:30AM on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Crossroads Cemetery in Crossett, Arkansas with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating.  Pallbearers are Donald Fletcher, Ryan Wells, Brent Sherrick, Aaron Genger, Troy Brown, Hardy Sawyer and Terry Pippen.
