Lloyd C. Townsend, 84, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on December 10, 2020. He was born on October 30, 1936, in Bastrop, Louisiana to Henry W. Townsend and Mary Jane Sanders.
Lloyd was the full time pastor at Second Baptist Church of Crossett. He was full of life and always had a great attitude. His family says that he just could not sit still. He loved to go fishing and to sing. When he was in high school, he was allowed to join the choir but his teacher told him only to move his mouth, not actually sing. That did not stop him from singing. His motto was scripture based, “Make a joyful noise”. Everyone who knew him loved him and he never met a stranger.

Townsend, Henry Townsend, and John T. Townsend; four sisters, Lottie Broussard, Billie Baldwin, Thelma Greer, and Johnnie Mae Moseley; and one step son, Arthur Andrews.
