Linda Maxwell Obituary
Linda Rose Maxwell, age 78, of Crossett, Arkansas passed away on November 13, 2021. She was born on December 8, 1942 in Hamburg, Arkansas to John Rayford and Addie Louise Swan. She was a member of Beulahland Assembly of God Church and worked as Georgia Pacific's mill manager's secretary. She was a caregiver to all and raised her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda was a member of the Hamburg Rook Club for fifty-eight years. She was an avid gardener who was incredibly passionate about her yard and a diehard Razorback fan as well. She loved to travel and has visited many places in the states and abroad.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Melvin “Petelum” Maxwell (2004); two grandsons, Jacob Lochala and Michael Lochala; one granddaughter, Zoey Lochala; one sister, Patsy Ruth Woods and one brother, Billy Swan.
She is survived by two daughters, Stacy Louise Maxwell and Jennifer Gail Maxwell, both of Crossett, AR; four grandchildren, Joshua Alan Lochala, Justin Michael Lochala, Ashley Lauren Boyer and Emily Brooke Clark; four great grandchildren, Alexia Tucker, Jaceleigh Lochala, Michael Lochala and Emersyn Nichols; one brother, Johnny Swan (Glenda) of Hamburg, AR; two sisters, Janet Toon (Ronnie) of Crossett, AR and Paula Morris (Bill) of Washington, PA along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Beulahland Assembly of God Church in West Crossett with Rev. Bob Davis officiating. Pallbearers are Shane Carpenter, Ryan Carpenter, Brandon Carpenter, Jonathan Pannell, Ron Goza and Jeff Pennington. Interment is in Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
