LaNell Woods Pigg

LaNell Woods Pigg, age 76, of Rogers, AR, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023.  She was born on April 6, 1946 to Travis and Frankie Woods in Crossett, Arkansas. 

She was very family oriented and the first to take care of others, including friends she considered family. She loved her pets and doted on them constantly.  She was a very active supporter of the Crossett School System through things such as the Adopt-A-School program. She was such a devoted wife, loving mother and sister.  Her family nickname was “Sister”.  In her time, she was owner of LaNell’s Restaurant and Crossett Road Mart.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Pigg;  two sisters, Carolyn “Toodlum” Fleming, Brenda Gowan and her two brothers, Jim Woods and Glen Woods.

Survivors include one son, Chris Pigg of Bentonville, AR; two grandchildren, Kristy Lockwood of Monroe, LA and Kasey Owens of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Sherry Cameron (Scott) of Crossett, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Jones Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. with Bro. James Fleming officiating.  Interment is in Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Jimmy Woods, Damien Moyers, Scott Cameron, Jeff Marabanian, Heath Marabanian, Stan Haynie and Jim Toon.  Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Gowan, Blake Lockwood and Trey Owens.

Visitation begins at 11:00 A.M., one hour prior to the service.
