June Elaine Mozingo Hughes, age 75 of Crossett, AR, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020. She was born in Quitman, MS to Ed and Lois Kennedy Mozingo on January 9, 1945. She was a lifelong charter member at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church where her father was their first preacher. June enjoyed reading, puzzles, playing the organ and piano. She was retired from First National Bank of Fountain Hill, AR where she worked as Branch Manager for fifteen years. Her greatest love in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Hughes; one sister, Roberta Roberts and three brothers, Wayne, Joe and Howard Mozingo.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Cockrell (Dee) of Hamburg, AR; two granddaughters, Chaise Hallman (Michael) of Crossett, AR and Jessie Cockrell of Hamburg, AR; two grandsons, Clint Cockrell of North Arkansas and Lance Corporal Kyle Cockrell of North Carolina; one great grandchild, Kaydence Hallman; one sister, Gail Bell of Risen, AR; one sister in law, Vera Morgan of Crossett, AR and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Funeral services are 2:00PM on Friday, February 21st at Egypt Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Culp and Bro. Keith Rose officiating. Pallbearers are Sammy Cockrell, Mike Cockrell, Devon Lytle, Steven Pike, Ryan Tassin and James Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Curtis Tolliver (Lightening), Michael Hallman, Lance Corporal Kyle Cockrell, Dee Cockrell, Freddie Joe Hollis and Clint Cockrell. Interment is in Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation is from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, February 20th at Egypt Missionary Baptist Church.
