James Gulledge Obituary

James Curtis Gulledge, age 60, passed away Saturday, May 9 at his home surrounded by loved ones.  He was born September 25, 1959 in Bastrop, LA to Allen and Patsy Gulledge.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; his in laws, James and Kathryn Dean; one son, Matt Gulledge; one sister, Linda Sims and one nephew, Jon Sims.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lisa Dean Gulledge; three sons, Jesse Gulledge (Kristaleen) of Heartland, TX, Rusty Gulledge of Fayetteville, AR and Joel Gulledge (Hannah) of Hot Springs, AR; three grandchildren, Tyce Gulledge of Crossett, AR, Heidi Jenkins of Heartland, TX and Drew Gulledge of Hot Springs, AR; two brothers, David Gulledge of Ruston, LA and Bobby Gulledge of Hamburg, AR along with a host of other friends and loved ones.

Curtis was a life-long New Orleans Saints fan.  He enjoyed woodworking and fishing but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.

A ‘Come and Go’ visitation service will be Monday, May 11th from 6-8:00PM at the Crossett Park Pavilion on Parkway Drive where the family will be receiving guests.  Those who would like to view Mr. Gulledge may do so during these hours by driving to the side chapel doors of Jones Funeral Home and entering the chapel in a come and go fashion then returning to their vehicles allowing the next in line to pull up and enter in.  Only those in one vehicle shall enter the building at a time and will maintain proper distancing.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 12th at 10:00AM at the park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. with Bro. Ellis Lewis officiating.  Pallbearers will be Brad Dean, Mark Fontenot, Josh Moffatt, Blake Owens, JB Netherland and Adam Bishop.  Honorary pallbearers are Jason Gulledge, Joey Gulledge, Josh Gulledge and employees of City of Crossett.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, it is necessary to practice social distancing.  We ask that you observe all CDC guidelines and refrain from handshakes and hugging.  Our main priority is the safety of our families and friends.  Thank you for your cooperation.
