Ila Faye Bing, age 73 of Monroe, LA, passed away on September 21, 2021. She was born on November 6, 1947 to Charles J. and Lessie Merle Lewis Bing in Jones, LA. Faye was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Sterlington, LA. She loved her church and church family. She lived by faith, not fear. Unshakeable in her faith, she stood on the Solid Rock, Jesus.
Faye was one of those women who could do anything. After graduating Wilmot High School, Faye continued her education, receiving an accounting degree from Draughons School of Business in Little Rock, AR. In 1993, at the age of 46, she received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Her education served her well in the various accounting jobs that she held over the years. She worked as a bookkeeper and was a “Jack of all trades”. She could build anything from a computer to a house. She designed and made jewelry and could sew like a professional seamstress. Faye enjoyed going to car races with her son, Larry and working in her flower gardens.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Letha Carol Holland Schneck and one sister, Marilyn Bing Harvey.
Her memory will live forever in the hearts of her son, Larry C. Holland (Misti) of Crossett, AR; one sister, Vivian V. Jeffers (Carl) of Portland, AR; two grandchildren, Michael Glennon and Jake Gulledge; several nieces and nephews along with her two little fur babies, Colton and Bearkey.
The family will be having private services honoring the life of Faye Bing at a later date.
