Fawn Ray Jones, age 89 of Crossett, Arkansas was born in Crossett, AR on June 29, 1933 to Richard Isaiah and Ora Watt Jones and passed away on November 16, 2022. He was a member of Community Chapel Baptist Church. Fawn served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Georgia Pacific as an electrician. Fawn enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and gardening. He was especially talented at working with wood and metal. He would make walking canes and give them as gifts.
Preceding him in death are his parents; His first wife, Maysel Arnett Webb; three brothers, Rayford Jones, Randolph Jones, and Richard Fay Jones; one sister, Bernice Jones Rice; one great grandson, Lane Austin Rice.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Hazel Jones; his children, James Richard Jones of Miami, FL, Robert E. Jones (Danna) and Edward R. Jones, Belinda Neel (Hamp), all of Crossett, AR, Mark Rice (Pam) of Bastrop, LA and Hank Rice (Toni) of Crossett, AR and Sarah Rice of Houma, LA; twelve grandchildren, Robb Jones (Leisha), Danielle Kurucar, (Chaise), David Neel, Victoria Neel, Sam Neel, Lydia Neel, Whitney Domangue (Andrew), Luke Meshell, Cody Rice (Mykaela), Austin Rice (Kelsey), Jessi Rice and Jamie Carr; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Ora Mae Goleman and Yevon “Blue Jay” May.
A Celebration of Life Service is 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Chain and Bro. Kevin McDaniel officiating. Interment is in Crossroads Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation is from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 19th at Jones Funeral Home Chapel.
