Dora Elizabeth Kelley, 95, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1928, to Thomas Wallace and Effie Pippen Mills.
Mrs. Kelley enjoyed quilting and was an excellent cook and homemaker. Everyone loved her chicken and dumplings and the hard candy she made. She was a Sunday School teacher, and for a time worked at Griffis House of Music. Elizabeth also enjoyed trips with the Snails Widows group. She retired from Jones Funeral Home in Crossett after 32 years, where she was an evening receptionist. Mrs. Kelley was also a pastor’s wife.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dewitt Kelley; a brother, Curtis Mills; two brother in laws, Red Morgan and Pete Herault.
She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Berger of Albion IL; three sons, James Edward “BoBo” Kelley (Teresa) of Mirimar Beach, FL, Michael Kelley (Cheryl) of Monroe, LA; and Ken Kelley (Cathy) of Magnolia, AR; two sisters, Virginia Morgan of Crossett and Nancy Herault of Crossett; six granddaughters, twelve great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be at 10AM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Crossett. Services will follow at 11AM, with Bro. Mike Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Magnolia Baptist Church or Gideons International.
