Edith Faye Stroud

Edith Faye Stroud, age 81, of Crossett, departed this life on May 30, 2018.   She was born on September 07, 1936.  She was preceded in death by her parents, L.C. and Helen Gill; her first husband, Dixon "Dick" Sherwood; her second husband, Doyle Stroud and her brother, Robert Gill.  Edith was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a member of First Baptist Church, a faithful volunteer of the Crossett Food Pantry and an employee of Garcia Medical Clinic.  She loved her family, friends and her dog, Tuffy.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura Sherwood (Kimberly Bogart) and Dorinda Stroud Pistole (Don); one son, Donnie Stroud (Brenda); four grandchildren, Michael Stroud (Tracie), Kimberly Pistole Rhodes (Adam), Kristopher Pistole and Andrew Stroud; five great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Noah and Eli Stroud, Kennedy and Bennett Rhodes; her twin sister, Letha Gill Reid (Bobby); one brother, Richard Gill (Ann) and her best friend, Tuffy.

Funeral Service is 11:00AM on Saturday, June 02, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Crossett, AR with Bro. Jamie Staley, Rev. Danny Merriweather and Bro. Lyle Hearn officiating.  Burial will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park.  Pallbearers are Michael Stroud, Kristopher Pistole, Andrew Stroud, Eli Stroud, Dan Kersey Teddy Huff and Adam Rhodes.  Honorary pallbearers are the volunteers at the Crossett Food Pantry, Dr. Luis Garcia and staff and Noah Stroud.

Visitation will be at 10:00AM one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
