Dorothy Ann Hooks

Dorothy Ann Hooks, 92, passed away on May 17, 2023 in Baytown Texas. She was born on May 10, 1931, in Crossett, Arkansas to William Green and Cora Lee Dodd.

Dorothy was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved watching her old westerns. Dorothy attended Cedar Bayou Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hooks; parents, William and Cora Dodd; sisters, Evelyn Kelly, Lucille Pruett and Bertie Lee Stanford; brothers, Horace Dodd, Roland Dodd, Carlos Dodd and Alfred Dodd; and by her grandson, Christopher Hopkins.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Chambless and husband Allen, and Kay Hopkins and husband Robert; son, Daniel Hooks and wife Aleta; grandchildren, Nathan Chambless, Lucien Hooks and wife Amber, Lindsey King and husband Charles, Curtis Vickers and wife Crystal; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hooks, Keagan Hooks, Pledger Hooks, Avery Hooks, Khyla Vickers, Cade Vickers, Kearston Vickers, Taylor King, William King; great-great-grands, Christopher King and Olivia King.

Graveside Service will be held Sunday, May 28,2023 at Pinewood Memorial Park in Crossett, Arkansas under the direction of Jones Funeral Home.
