Donald Harold Bryant, Sr., 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, June 25, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Crossett, AR, born October 27, 1945 to Harold Grady and Jewell Roberts Bryant. Donald was a proud American Vietnam Veteran who served four years in the U.S. Navy and honorably discharged in 1968. He loved talking about his experiences on the aircraft carriers, USS Enterprise and USS Ticondaroga. Donald was and E&I Technician at Georgia Pacific Paper Mill for forty-three years. He was an avid deer hunter and belonged to the Stanley Deer Camp for fourty-two years. Donald was an Optimist Club Basketball Coach, and a youth baseball and softball league coach to many. He was a lifetime member of Mt. Olive Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Carlene Bryant of North Crossett, AR; two sons, Donald Bryant, Jr. and wife, Sue of North Crossett, AR and Brad Bryant and wife, Pam, of Byhalia, MS; one daughter, Jacque Bryant of Hamburg, AR; three grandchildren, Breana Bryant, Jina Cupp and Kelcie Smith; four great grandchildren, Blayze and Kently Pittman, Marley and Everleigh Skinner.
Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home Chapel on June 28, 2022 beginning at 1:00 P.M., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 P.M., officiated by Bro. Josh Luellen. Interment will be in Pinewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Donald Bryant, Jr., Brad Bryant, Sue Bryant, Jimmy Kinney, Keith Fox and Scottie Fox. Honorary Pallbearers are Cody Kelley, Keith Fox, Jr., Dawson Fox and Chayson Fox.
