Darrell Ray Wise

Darrell Ray Wise, age 73, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on May 8, 2021 in his home while surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on August 14, 1947 in Monroe, Louisiana to his parents, Henry Terrell and Iris Christine Rogers Wise.  He served our country in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant.   He retired after 41 years as an E&I Technician for Georgia Pacific.  When in high school, he played baseball and ran track.  Darrell enjoyed Rodeo Play Days with his family as well as hunting, fishing and playing golf.  He was Senior Champ at Prairie Country Club for many years.  He and his wife, Elsie enjoyed years of camping trips and visiting other campers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Terrell and Iris Wise and one infant brother, Roger Wise.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Elsie Mae Wise; one son, Tracy Wise of Mount Ida, AR; one daughter, Paula Netherland of Oak Point, TX; one brother, Terry Wise of Crossett, AR; two grandsons, Matthew and Jonathan Wise of Pangburn, AR; two granddaughters, Reagan and Emmy Netherland of Oak Point, TX along with a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Pine Street Church of Christ in Crossett, AR with Bro. Jerry Martin officiating.  Interment is in Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.  Pallbearers are Danny Barton, Glenn Jones, Tommy Pahal, Bill Rawls, Wade Smith and Royce Young.  Honorary Pallbearers are Rusty Atchison, John David Carter, Edgar Chesser and Dickie Gulledge.

A time of visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
