Obituary

Clinton Franklin Carpenter, 88 of Crossett, AR, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022.  He was born on September 4, 1933 to Vera Uptigrove and O.C. “Bud” Carpenter.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and worked as a diesel mechanic for Georgia Pacific for fifty years, retiring on January 1, 2000.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his beloved Razorbacks.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara Faye Locke; his second wife, Betty Jane Marks and one brother, Robbie Leonard Carpenter.
 
He is survived by his four daughters, Vera Jelyn Hogue (Farris) of Hot Springs Village, AR, Carolyn Mann Brooks (Bill) of Brenham, TX, Barbara Mann Kinny (Joe) of Bastrop, LA and Sarah Partee (Chris) of Cabot, AR; one son, Keith Eugene Mann (Leiah) of Crossett, AR; one sister-in-law, Patsy Coulter Carpenter; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandson along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
 
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on August 16, 2022 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Crossett, AR with family friend, Scott Sasser officiating.  Interment follows at Crossroads Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Gary Carpenter, Dustin Pope, Tyler Pope, Jason Brocato, Jonathan Brocato and Nicholas Herring.  Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Carpenter, Mershel Dean Carpenter, Brannon Herring, Christian Brocato, Bill Brooks and Chris Partee.
 
Visitation begins at 12:00 P.M. at the church just before the service.
 
Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1533 Hwy. 52 W., Crossett, AR  71635.
