Charles Edward Reed Jr

Charles, “Chuck”, Edward Reed Jr., 71, of Bastrop, Louisiana, passed away on May 20, 2023. He was born on July 8, 1951 in Bastrop to Charles “Penny” Edward Reed Sr and Maxine Reed (Armstrong).

Charles loved sports, especially Cubs baseball and the Razorbacks. Charles also loved music. He was a forklift driver for Choice Brand Beer.

He is preceded in death by his father; and a nephew, Dustin Reed.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sherry Reed of Monroe, Louisiana; mother Maxine Reed of Crossett, Arkansas; daughter Chelsey Reed of Crossett; son Scott Reed of Tennessee; daughter Tina Pyle (Chuck) of Nashville, Tennessee; brother Steve Reed (Gail) of Crossett; brother Mark Reed (Kim) of Crossett; 9 grandchildren, Jacob Reed, Luke Reed, Ashlyn Reed-Eads, Zachary Mansfield, Kristen Gallo, Isabella Pyle, Jaylon Brown, Zane Brown and Jenasey Reed; 7 great grandchildren with 2 on the way and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 6PM to 8PM on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home in Crossett. Graveside services are at 10AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Dry Bayou Cemetery in Wilmot, Arkansas with Bro. Keith Martin officiating under direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc.
