Charles Elmer Gardner, age 85 of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. He was born on January 21, 1937 to Lonnie Frank and Mary Maude Brantley Gardner. Charles served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Church of Christ. He enjoyed walking, eating out, watching the Eagles and going to flea markets. He had many passions in life, including clowns, old cars and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Joyce Gardner and three brothers, Lonnie Fred, Clyde Edward and Billy Gardner.
He is survived by three daughters, Karen Jean Clark (Steve) of Jonesboro, AR, Belinda Kay Jackson (Jerry) of Stuttgart, AR, and Patricia Ann Gonzalez of Crossett, AR; one sister, Mildred Gardner Ogden (Ronald “Pewee”); nine grandchildren, Leslie Gonzales (Chris) of West Monroe, LA, Brandy Aaron (Tim) of Redfield, AR, Shawn Gregorcyk, Keli Pullin (Casey), Jennifer Johnson (Andy), Derek Hill (Liz), Jeremy Mills (Mandi), Amanda Patterson (Justin) and Isabela Gonzalez, all of Crossett, AR; twenty-three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life Service is Monday, February 21, 2022 at 2:00PM at Jones Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Mills officiating. Pallbearers are Andy Johnson, Casey Pullin, Derek Hill, Tim Aaron, Justin Patterson and Chris Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Clark, Jerry Jackson and Marco Gonzalez. Interment is in Unity Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 12:00PM, two hours prior to the service.
