Obituary
Buford Dewayne Cooley, age 80 of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 07, 2022. He was born on October 27, 1942 to Virgil and Chloe Doss Cooley in Crossett, AR. He served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Dewayne was an auto mechanic who enjoyed fishing and singing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Betty Jo Cooley; three brothers, Robert, Cecil and Virgil Cooley and two sisters, Elois Fletcher and Billie June Barnett.
Left to cherish his memory are his three sons, Darrin Cooley (Candace) of Crossett, AR, Charles David Cooley (Jennifer) of Jadwin, MO and Andrew Cooley of North Arkansas; one daughter, Beverly Jackson (John) of Crossett, AR, one brother, Curtis Glenn Cooley (Doris) of Crossett, AR; one sister, Dorothy Johnson (Tommy) of Holladay, TN; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with
Bro. Carlton White officiating. Pallbearers are Johnny Edwards, Scott Cole, Jr., Mitchel Cooley, David Edwards, David Ray Avery and Cruz Mondragon. Interment is in Unity Cemetery.
