Marvin “Buddy” Duncan, age 76 of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on October 9, 2021. He was born on April 23, 1945 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to Marvin and Thelma Duncan.
Buddy served his country in the United States Navy. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Viet-Nam Service Medal and the Republic of Viet-Nam Campaign Medal. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and worked as a carpenter and an electrician until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on vehicles. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Debbie Renee Duncan and Belinda Kay Duncan; one grandson, Brylee Duncan; five sisters and two brothers.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 56 years, Archolor Duncan; two sons, David Duncan and Emory Duncan (Loretta), both of Crossett, AR; one daughter, Jennifer Helms (Justin) of Dubberly, LA; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home of Crossett with Bro. Kenneth Watt officiating. Pallbearers are Stephen Carter, Jim Carter, Stephen James, Paul Pace, Brett Courson, Ty Duncan, Kyler Duncan and George White. Honorary Pallbearers are Jarrod Arnold and Jamie Murray. Interment is in Crossroads Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, October 11th at his home located at 205 Ashley 287, Crossett, AR 71635.
