Betty (Burnett) Martin

Betty Burnett Martin, age 91, of Crossett, AR passed away on February 8, 2024. She was born on April 7, 1932 in Crossett, Arkansas to her parents Alfred Burnett and Hazel Carver Lloyd. Mrs. Martin was a lifelong homemaker and enjoyed working in the kitchen at Trinity Freewill Baptist. She was known to love crosswords and quilting with her friends, making sure that while they continued to quilt she was already getting lunch ready for everyone.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Luther G. Martin; a brother, Billy Burnett; and a grandson Gabriel Taylor Murray.

Left to cherish her memory are; a sister, Barbara Martin; one son and daughter-in law, David Lorence Martin and Cindy of Ruston, Louisiana; one daughter and son-in-law Teresa Karen Neathery and Jerry of Crossett, Arkansas; Grandchildren, Justin Murray, Ashley King, Jamie Neathery, Amanda Kelley, Cindy Hannah, Heather Bryan and 13 great-grandchildren.

Honoring her memory serving as pallbearers are Greg Kelley, James Neathery, Glen Allen Robinson, Justin Murray, Jamie Neathery and Jason King.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Jones Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Allen Eppinette officiating.
Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park at a later date under the direction of
Jones Funeral Home Inc. of Crossett, Arkansas.
