Betty Jo Cooley

Betty Jo Cooley, age 79 of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on December 6, 2021.  She was born on November 18, 1942 in Portland, AR to Joseph Albert and Audie Sicks McKenzie.  She was a member of Beulahland Assembly of God Church and worked for several years in housekeeping at Ashley County Medical Center.  She enjoyed many hobbies in life including quilting, arts and crafts, jewelry making, crocheting, fishing, camping and cooking.  She has also been a professional cake decorator.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and one grandson, Matthew Wade Avery.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Buford Dewayne Cooley; one daughter, Beverly Jackson (John); three sons, Darrin Wayne Cooley (Candice) of Picayune, MS, Charles David Cooley (Jennifer) of Jadwin, MO and Andrew Jason Cooley; seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren along with a host of other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service is 1:00pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home with Bro. Carlton White officiating.  Interment is in Unity Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Scottie Cotie, Jr., David Ray Avery, Johnny Edwards, David Edwards, Rock Jackson and Mitchell Cooley.

Visitation is from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home.
