Obituary
Annie Jo Smith, 91, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on July 29, 2023 in Hamburg, Arkansas. She was born on January 30, 1932 to Gaston Marion Higginbotham and Janie Margarit Venters in Hamburg, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold Wilton Smith; four brothers, Lavon “Slick” Higginbotham, Frank “Bunk” Higginbotham, Ralph “Pete” Higginbotham, and James Higginbotham; one sister, Louise Pelton.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Ann Wright (Donnie); her sons, Harold Glenn Smith (Pam), Timothy Lee Smith (Kim); one brother, Norman Higginbotham; and two sisters, Margarit Riley and Betty Eubanks; her grandchildren, Christy Rice (Howie), Rachel Johnson (Landon), Amanda Willis (Chalin), Kathy Grillot (Danny), Josh Smith (Amanda), and Matt Smith. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5pm to 7pm, Tuesday, August 1st, at Jones Funeral Home, Crossett, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 10am, Wednesday, August 2nd, at The Church of Christ on Pine Street in Crossett, with Bro. Jerry Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Crossett under direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Pallbearers are Josh Smith, Matt Smith, Howie Rice, Chalin Willis, Jack Atkins and Tanner Johnson.
