NANCY LUM

                Nancy Mae Lum, age 97, of Bastrop, LA, passed away on August 20, 2018.  She was born on October 25, 1920 to her parents, George and Ella Collier.  She was a devoted housewife who loved her family and enjoyed their many gatherings.  She also enjoyed fishing and quilting.  Nancy loved to cook and was known for preparing big meals for her family and friends.  Everyone loved her chicken and dressing as well as her macaroni and cheese.  She raised her children in a loving Christian home, providing them with a foundation of how to live their lives.  Her children have countless precious memories of their times spent together.  She was loved by all who knew her.

Nancy Lum was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lum; her parents, George W. and Ella Mae Phelps Collier; two daughters, Dianne Mann and Clodene Lum.

She is survived by one son, Claude Lum of Bastrop, LA; three daughters, Agnes Harris (G.W.), Juanell Smith (Eddy) and Shirley Johnson (Anthony), all of Bastrop, LA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services are 2:00PM on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Neal and Bro. Doug Edwards officiating.  Pallbearers are Nicholas Amos, Jacob Jenkins, Gary Harris, Kevin McDaniel, Jonathan Smith, Stephen Middlebrooks, Scotty Mann and Chris Middlebrooks.  Honorary pallbearers are Jody Brooks, Craig Middlebrooks and Anthony Smith.  Interment is in Hickory Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in the funeral home chapel.
