Myrtis Arlene Johnson, age 97, passed away November  1, 2017 at South Ridge Nursing Home in Heber Springs, AR.  She was born on December 17, 1919 in Lassiter, TX to her late parents John Benson Smith and Lottie Lorena Hatcher Smith.  Mrs. Johnson was a beautician for 50 years and a member of  the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Johnson, two brothers, J. B. Smith, Jr., Kenneth Smith, two sisters, Marjorie Smith, Sharon Hamilton and one great granddaughter, Courtney Mayor.

Survivors include: her son, Larry D. Johnson and wife Nora of Rose Bud, AR; one grandson, Marlon Johnson (Rebecca) of Vilonia, AR, one granddaughter, Shaunna (Billy) Miller of Enola, AR, four great grandchildren, Tanner Johnson, Amber Johnson, Natalia Hill, and Riley Mayor, five great great grandchildren, one step granddaughter, Anita Bozeman, two step great grandsons, Derek Skender and Stetson Skender,  one brother, Charles Henry Smith, and one sister,  Janice Roberts.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Marsden Cemetery in Hermitage, AR  with Bro. Bob Perry officiating under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR (jonesservice.com)
