Marion LaFaye White

Marion LaFaye White, age 83, of Crossett, AR, passed away on August 21, 2018.  She was born on December 9, 1934 and a member of First Baptist Church in Crossett, AR.  LaFaye retired from Georgia Pacific Chemical Mill and had a business college degree.  She loved Sunday school, sang in the Golden Voices Choir and enjoyed watching old Western movies.  She loved fishing and playing dominoes with her friends.  When she was younger, she loved to travel and entered/won beauty pageants.  LaFaye was also a member of the Senior Citizen’s Center and the American Legion Auxiliary.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion Eugene and Ella Ruth White.

She is survived by one son, James Stephen “Steve” White (Cecilia) of Ft. Worth, TX; one daughter, Tanya Lynne White (Marc Beasley) of Crossett, AR; three granddaughters, Lisa Williams (Kevin) of Bellevue, NE, Lauren Dillon (David) of Lucedale, MS and Bethany Beasley (Blake Stewart) of Crossett, AR; eight great grandchildren; a very special friend, Tommy Stuckey and a host of other family members, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are 10:00AM on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Crossett, AR with Bro. Jamie Staley officiating. Pallbearers are Jimmy White, Paul White, Jeff Sanders, George Gauntt, Roddy Goodwin, Jason Goodwin, Matthew Goodwin and Brian Fain.  Honorary Pallbearers are Marc Beasley and Tommy Stuckey.  Interment is in Pinewood Memorial Park.  Visitation is from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel.
