Margie Elizabeth McDougald Bryant, age 92, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Crossett, AR, passed away on November 12, 2019. She was born on August 9, 1927 to Ernest T. and Mamie Walker McDougald. She was a former member of Pine Street Church of Christ in Crossett where she loved to sing and taught Sunday School. She worked many years as a secretary at Georgia Pacific. She began working there in Personnel then worked in the executive office. Margie enjoyed crossword puzzles and knitting. She was very gifted in sketching portraits. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Richard, Vernon and Winfred McDougald.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 71 years, Norman Bryant of Baton Rouge, LA; one son, Kevin Bryant (Marty) of Baton Rouge, LA; One sister, Lois McDougald Rorex of Williamsburg, VA; two grandchildren, Trent Bryant (Lindsey) of Biloxi, MS and Crystal Bryant Coulter (Kevin) of Bentonville, AR; five great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services are at 10:00AM on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Pine Street Church of Christ in Crossett, AR with Bro. Jerry Martin officiating. Interment is in Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation is from 6-8:00PM at Jones Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, 2019.
