L.A. Collins, age 82 ,of  Crossett, AR,  passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff,  AR.  Mr. Collins was born December 7, 1934 in  Bald Knob, AR to his parents, Linzie Virgil and Bessie Adalin Moody Collins.  L.A. was a retired school teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife,  Shirley Miles Collins, a son, David V. Collins of Allen, Texas and a daughter Janet Friesen of  Plano, Texas; three grandchildren, Katherine , Zachary and Seth Friesen of  Plano, TX; three brothers, Wayne Collins of  Searcy, AR, Dennis Collins of Corsicana, TX, and Ronnie Collins of  Bald Knob, AR; three sisters, Wanda Knight of  Bald Knob, AR , Barbara Wells of Beebe, AR and Charlotte Money of Searcy, AR.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on  Monday,  February 20, 2017 at First Baptist Church with  Bro. Jamie Staley officiating.  A service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob, AR .  Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob, AR.
