James Henry Gilbert

James Henry Gilbert, age 84 of Crossett, AR, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019.  He was born on August 5, 1935 in Jackson Township, AR to his parents, Jeff D. and Mabel Haynes Gilbert.  He was a retired carpenter with Georgia Pacific after 42 years of service and former deacon and groundskeeper for Beulahland Assembly of God Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the Arkansas Razorbacks.  James was a builder and loved to build turkey calls and toy guns and pistols for his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tim Gilbert and one brother, Billy Gilbert.

Left to cherish his memory, is his wife of over 63 years, Nina Gilbert; two sons, Terry Gilbert (Barb) and Paul Gilbert (Jennifer); one daughter in law, Stephanie Murphy; six grandchildren, Jenny Russell (Jason), Colby Gilbert, Jordan Walker (Richie), Zach Gilbert (Brooke), Carson Gilbert and Jacob Gilbert; eight great grandchildren, Tyler Peters, Bailee Peters, Drew White, Landon White, Layla Russell, Holden Walker, Grayson Walker and C.J. Gilbert; sister and brother in law, Dean and Betty Hooks and a host of other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services are at 2:00PM at Beulahland Assembly of God Church in Crossett, AR on Saturday, October 26, 2019 with Bro. Ricky Tyler and Bro. Rich Murphy officiating.  Interment is in Crossroads Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Greg Donald, Gary Booker, Mark Guin, Todd Rice, Ronnie Davis, Jason Heath, Darren Lansdale and Rea Lucas.  Honorary Pallbearers are Hoylan Outlaw, Charlie Smith, Floyd Stephenson, Billy Jo Harrington, Carl Vorhease, Billy Gammel and Dr. Carter Cox.  Visitation is from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Beulahland Assembly of God Church on Friday, October 25, 2019.
