Henry "Wilburn" Wilburn Austin

Henry Wilburn Austin, age 69 of Crossett, AR, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 22, 2019.  He was born on May 4, 1949 in Snyder, Arkansas to Henry W. and Peggy Roberts Austin.  He was an industrious individual.  He knew nothing of leisure or hobbies, only hard work.  He was instrumental in the reconstruction of Wiggins Cabin and the repairing of Troy Church.  He loved his gravel pit and had an unmatched passion for the eradication of all things pesky!  More than all these things, he would want to be remembered for his love of God, his family, and his community.

Wilburn is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Elton Dean Austin.  He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Connie Cheeseman Austin; two sons, Shane Austin and Toby Austin (Brooke), both of Crossett, AR; five daughters, Krista Goyne (Ashley), Allison Austin (Chris Jordan), Anna Austin, Alexandra Mills (Justin) and Meredith Austin, all of Crossett; eight grandchildren, Conner and Abbey Austin, Hope Spurlock, Savannah Goyne, Katlyn Goyne, Moya and Aren Ellis, Tori Simmons; two sisters, Shelia Drake (Dickey) and Nita McDaniel (David); one brother, Emory Austin (Patsy) and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services for Wilburn Austin are Wednesday, April 24, 2019.  Visitation is from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at Beech Street Baptist Church in Crossett, AR.  Graveside services follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Snyder, AR under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, Inc. with Bro. Donnie Dubose officiating.  Pallbearers are Dennis Terrell, Joey Terrell, Josh King, Josh Parrot, Austin Vestal and Nick Austin.
