Grace Esther Hopper

Grace Esther Hopper, age 97, of Crossett, AR, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.  She was born on April 12, 1922 to "Uncle Bud" and Fannie Johnson.  Grace was a faithful Christian and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was an excellent cook and no one ever left her house hungry.  Her home was immaculate as she tended to it well.  Grace would always be heard singing while she went about her duties.  She had a passion for gospel music, gardening, fishing and enjoyed flowers of all types, although, nothing could compare to the love that she had for her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, T.E. "Uncle Bud" and Fannie Bell Burchell Johnson; her husband, C.L. Hopper; one twin brother, Grady E. Johnson and four sisters, Zelma Barnett, Amzie Frisby, Vera Ware and Mary Ann Moates.

Grace is survived by her son, Ronnie Hopper (Becky) of Crossett, AR; two granddaughters, Carrie Hopper of Crossett, AR and Mandy Horton (Robby) of Bryant, AR and two great grandchildren, Brodie and Alex Horton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hopper are Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home in Crossett, AR.  Visitation begins at 1:00PM and funeral services follow at 2:00PM.  Interment is in Arkadelphia Cemetery in Crossett, AR.
