Claudia Lea Garces, age 81, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on December 3, 2017 at her home.  She was born on June 26, 1936 to her parents, Claude Fuller and Winnifred Leila Parkhill.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Raymond Manuel Garces, her sister, Marijo Garces and a daughter, Julie Ann Carreras.

Survivors include: two brothers, Myron McAfee, Bill Parkhill, four children, Anthony Garces, Anna Lea Carreras Steelman, Vicki L. Garces, and Donna Lynn Garces, and seven grandchildren, Robert Bel, David Steelman, Jeremy Steelman, Jessica Chrzan, Chase Garces, Bronson Garces and Lisa Ricca. Also surviving include six great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. Robin Allen officiating.  Services are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)
